CAMILLO MAGONI<\/h2><\/div>
Camillo Magoni was born in Morbegno, Italy, which borders with the Swiss city of Engadina. He studied and received his Enology and Viticulture degree from the prestigious Scuola Enolgica Di Alba<\/em>, located in Italy\u2019s Piedmont wine region in 1962. After working in the renowned Nino Negri de Chiuro<\/em> winery located in Valtellina<\/em> (a valley in the Lombardy region of northern Italy, in the Province of Sondrio which borders with Switzerland), he decided to accept an invitation from Angelo Cetto, to leave Italy and come to Baja California, Mexico to become a member of his winery\u2019s winemaking team.<\/p>\n

Camillo Magoni love for the earth on which his vineyards have grown, have allowed him to extract its precious fruits. He has dedicated over 50 years to cultivate the Guadalupe Valley and its neighboring valleys. As a winemaker he has managed to produce various brands of wines of excellent quality. For 17 years he served as the honorary Consul of Italy in Baja California, and in 2007 he received the \u201cLa Stella al Merito del Lavoro\u201d award, in the degree of comendatore<\/em>, which is the highest recognition that Italy offers to it citizens.<\/p>\n

He has participated with Baja California\u2019s Historical Society in the rescue of Baja California\u2019s Spanish missions, which are comprised of a series of religious outposts established by Catholic religious orders. In 2009, he published the first edition of his book \u201cHistory of Vine and Wine in the Baja California Peninsula\u201d. He was recognized as a person of distinguished character by Tijuana\u2019s Tourism and Convention Committee (COTUCO) in 2012.<\/p>\n

Camillo Magoni is a pioneer in his industry, of a caring and attentive nature, responsible and prudent. He is an insatiable reader and researcher. Passionate about the history of Baja California\u2019s community, culture, traditions, family values and wines.<\/div><\/div>
